Vehicle story

I was 16, in 1985, when my folks pulled off the side of the road on US-31 in West Michigan and purchased this 1965 Mustang Convertible. My dad handed me the keys and told me to drive it home. I cried like a baby. It was the moment I became hooked on Mustangs forever. This car is pretty much identical to that day with some regular mechanical maintenance done over the decades. I purchased the car off my folks several years ago and it’s perfect for you to put the top down and enjoy northern Michigan. It has a strong 289 2bbl engine that uses a solid Automatic trans. It drives easy, safely, and fun! Use it for weddings, dinner dates, or your weeks vacation. Enjoy!!!!

Wheels and tires

Brand new radial tires in 2023. Safe. Tires were manufactured in 2023 also.

Brakes

This car uses the original drum brakes. You will feel like they don't work at first but the entire brake system was replaced (drums, master cylinder, etc) by a professional mechanic in 2022. It is pretty simple. The harder you push the brake the more it stops the car.

Transmission

Stock C6 3 speed automatic trans that came on the car new. Easy to drive with just two pedals!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this fantastic car. Being first-timers, we were unprepared for all the compliments and rubber-necking pedestrians in every town we visited. Such an addictive feeling to be the envy of everyone. Very fun to cruise at 55mph, with the sun shining and the wind in your hair. Highly recommended.

Dave's Mustang was a last minute gem of a find for our wedding. Dave was such a cool dude. I knew when he responded, "cool beans" to my message it was meant to be. His car is super clean, reliable, surprisingly good on fuel & a head turn turner. For the price it's a absolute steal & made for great photos!
