Vehicle story

This 1968 Chevelle SS was purchased new in 1968 by a woman in Topeka Kansas. Her then boyfriend became her husband and they owned the car until their divorce. The Husband got the car in the divorce. In 2008 he had frame off restoration. The motor, trans and rearend all original to the car. the motor was completely rebuilt as was the trans and rearend. Stock wheels where replaced with Cragers all around and spare tire. Just like the old days. During restoration a fresh Muncie 4 speed replaced the numbers matching 3-speed. 3 speed was standard transmission and 4 speed was an option. The car drives like new , as if just off showroom floor.

Engine

396 CI V8, Headers, Edlebrock Manifold. Approximately 400HP.

Wheels and tires

Cooper tires and Crager Wheels all around.

Brakes

Original drum brakes , all around.

Muncie M 21 4 speed. New
