1986 Porsche Model 951, marketed as the 944 Turbo/It resembles a 944 but that’s where the similarities end. Porsche created this car for high performance and speed with special aero features and an aluminum hood. With turbo at full boost these cars can reach top speeds approaching and at times exceeding 160 mph. Classic Porsche handling. They even created a racing series specifically for this car and you could purchase a race prepped 951 for the track directly from the factory at the time. All of this and a high level of leather interior luxury for its time. A very comfortable and fast grand touring coupe with enhanced turbo performance and by some considered to be the finest of all Porsche designs, arguably second only to the 911 depending on who you ask. The removable sun roof makes for an even nicer cruise into the mountains on a nice day, not to mention the handling on the winding roads. AC is included. Rent at $207- per day. Hank was a pleasure to rent from. He really made pickup and drop-off easy. The 944 Turbo is a real blast into the 1980s past, and the interior is immaculate. Love how low it is and how the paint really sparkles in the sun. No issues with the car whatsoever, started and drove as expected every time.
