1994 Dodge Viper RT-10/This where it all began and ended: the ultimate streetable muscle sports targa roadster in its day. A V-10 with raw 400 horsepower and 465 pounds of torque engine designed by Maserati. There is no mistaking the sound of the V-10 idling or accelerating or when you back off. Built exclusively for performance this first generation model was a true roadster with side curtains, no frills, side mounted tail pipes and a top speed exceeding 165 mph. They only made 2,890 hand built examples in this year. Of course it’s red, the only appropriate color! The only comparable experience would be an original Shelby 427 Cobra, which is understandable as Carol Shelby was on contract to Chrysler when the Viper was first conceived (Cobra, Viper, snakes, a coincidence?). The coupe version won overall at the 24 Hours of Daytona and class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. By the way, this is one of the few with air conditioning offered first in 1994. Rent at $350-per day. Multiple day discounts available. THIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ONLY AS AN OPEN ROADSTER. RAIN CHECKS AVAILABLE IF MOTHER NATURE INTERFERES WITH YOUR RENTAL PLANS.
