2000 Mercedes-Benz SL600

Offered from 1990 to 2002, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL is an increasingly desirable car, hailing from a period when Mercedes-Benz was still known for over-engineering and top-notch build quality. This particular example is a range-topping SL600, which is powered by a mighty V12 that makes nearly 400 horsepower. At a cost of over $120,000 new, the V12-powered SL600 came standard with cutting-edge features. Power comes from an "M120" 48V 6.0-liter V12, rated at 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Everything on this car works and the car is fully serviced, sorted and reliable.

In the practicality department, it’s strictly a 2-seater with good storage space behind the seats and a good-sized trunk that can fit two sets of golf clubs. There is a hardtop available—ask me if you would like it fitted before your trip—otherwise you’ll simply have the power soft top. If you are coming from out-of-town and toting lots of bags but still want to take this for a road trip, don't fret! You are welcome to stow your excess bags with me for no charge if that works with your itinerary!

While this car is well-maintained and in excellent condition, it is still over 20 years old. I ask that you drive this car reasonably and do not abuse it. Please be understanding if it’s not as flawless, quiet and tight as a new car.
