About the Lotus Elise:
The Lotus Elise roadster was conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars. The Elise has a fiberglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. It is capable of speeds up to 150 mph. The Elise was named after Elisa Artioli, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus and Bugatti at the time of the car's launch.
IMPORTANT:
Depending on your body size and weight, the Lotus Elise can be quite challenging to get in and out of. Especially if the top is up, you'll need to be a bit 'flexible' - but this is the case with most exotic sports cars. If you are above 175 lbs, we encourage you to speak with the host (Kevin) about renting this car. We want you to enjoy your experience as much as possible while also our posting meeting your expectations!
