How Snappr works
Book your shoot by choosing a time, date and location.
Make sure your car is clean inside and out before the photo shoot.
Meet with your photographer, who will call ahead of time to confirm the date, time and location.
Work with your photographer to move the vehicle when needed. This will keep lighting consistent and help the photographer get all the required shots.
After the shoot, the photographer will send the photos to the Snappr editing team where they will be edited, organized and then sent to you.
Choosing a time and place
Pick a date and time when you know you’re going to be available for 2 hours. If the forecast shows sun, choose the early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting. Harsh mid-day sun will lead to less desirable photos. If cloudy or overcast, almost any time of the day is acceptable.
Make sure to pick a day with low or no chance of rain. Rescheduling due to weather is your responsibility.
Choose a location that suits the vehicle. It is best if the shoot takes place away from your residence. Work with the photographer to choose a location with a simple background that is free from vehicles, people and other distractions.
Getting your car photo-ready
Wash and detail your vehicle’s exterior, clean and vacuum the interior, and wipe down the engine bay. Your attention to detail will make the pictures shine and stand out above the rest.
Empty cup holders, center console, trunk and any other area that may have personal items.
Gather any service records, books or other documents. These items will be included in the photo shoot for your listing. Make sure you cover any personal information such as names, phone numbers and addresses – sticky notes work well for this.
Be prepared to remove items from the vehicle so the photographer can shoot them (such as floor mats, spare tire, tool kits, etc.)
The photographer will contact you via phone before the shoot. Cancellations and reschedules are only allowed with a minimum 24 hour notice for a refund. To cancel or reschedule, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Provide the reason for the change and a few dates and times that will work for you.
If you'd like your vehicle to attract the attention it deserves, professional photography is worth considering and Snappr makes it easy. If you'd prefer to take the photos yourself, check out this photo guide.
