I bought this car in January of 2002 in Redondo Beach CA, as a warm Sunday afternoon go to the beach car, and as a "back up " when my daily driver was in the shop. I shipped it to Hawaii to the family ranch on the Big Island, but it didn't get driven enough and shipped it back. It had a motor replacement when my California mechanic got a wrecked 560 sedan, with only 75000 miles on the engine. It was then moved with me to Alabama in 2013. It has always been garaged, and had been cared for by Zimmermans, the vintage Mercedes shop in Mobile for the last 13 years.
