I bought this car from the second owner in 1999. It was originally imported to the US as a grey market automatic car; hense it has Euro bumpers, and etc. Manual cloth seats were specified, as well as a sunroof. Additionally, complimenting the nose of the car, it has Euro glass headlights, which glow with the *angel eyes* look of the day. The automatic was professionally replaced with an original BMW manual transmission in approximately 2010. This car has had a painfully extensive respray before I got it, which included the removal of both front and rear windscreens. The original 14* rims were replaced with original BMW BBS M6 three piece restored BBS rims wrapped with Michelin TRX 220/45/415 mm tires by Coker, and at the same time springs, shocks, swaybars, and the addition of a front strut brace installed. Engine-wise, it has no modifications other than a manifold back exhaust with no catalitic converters, and only one muffler which makes it on the loud side. At the current moment, I am considering adding a center muffler, but not a cat. The car has a low, lean, and take no prisoners stance. It drives, steers, and accelerates well. At the time of writing, it has approx 102800 miles. The car is driven rarely, and was recently used in an UGG photoshoot. I am planning in the near future to replace the miles per hour speedometer, with the appropriate, kilometers per hour gauge, as all the other gauges and writing are in german and/or metric. Personally, I have taken long lengths to keep the cars history, and originality alive, and going as far as it still wears it:s original break in sticker on the windshield, and ABS sticker on the instrument cluster. Call me crazy, but, you may be right. I have owned it, at the time of writing, for 19 years.
