My name is Christian Laufer, and about 10 years ago I left the hustle, noise, and nonstop grind of the Philadelphia-area food and beverage world and moved to Killington, Vermont. I came here looking for something different... more space, more freedom, more mountains, more water, and a better way of life.
I first fell in love with Vermont through skiing, snowboarding, mechanics, travel, and the outdoor lifestyle that makes places like Killington and Burlington so special. Whether it was ripping through the mountains in winter or chasing sunsets on the water in summer, I always knew Vermont had something most places don’t.
Like a lot of people chasing a fresh start, I found myself getting pulled right back into the grind. I spent years working in restaurants, managing busy teams, building small businesses, taking on side hustles, renting vehicles, flipping toys, fixing things, and chasing the next opportunity. I loved the adrenaline, the challenge, and the people...
But over time, I realized something important.I didn’t move to Vermont just to be stressed out in a different zip code. What I really wanted was peace. A beautiful sunset. Time outside. A day on the lake. Something simple, exciting, and unforgettable. And, of course, some amazing rentals.
That’s where Rent Our Toyz comes in. We’re a local, family-owned rental business built around adventure, freedom, and making the most of Vermont’s best seasons. After years of renting vehicles and powersports equipment through peer-to-peer platforms, commercial policies, and small business operations, Rent Our Toyz is now focused on what we love most: Corvettes,Jet Skis,and Slingshot rentals on Lake Champlain.
Our goal is simple: make it easy for people to walk down, ride off, and experience the lake the way it should be experienced.
No overcomplicated process. No boring vacation rental energy. Just clean equipment, clear rules, beautiful water, and the chance to create a memory you’ll actually talk about.
