Story

This first-year production Ferrari 348ts is a mostly original three owner car with minor tasteful upgrades inspired by the 348 GTS model, including factory OEM chrome shift knob and color matching targa top and color matching lower valances.

As an early production 348, this vehicle also has a twin disk clutch, which is absent in model years after 1991. In addition, one notable feature - or rather, absence of! - of early production models such as this one is the exclusion of the "mousetrack" automated seat belt function that came in later years.

Known as the last V8 Ferrari developed under Enzo's watch, and produced posthumously, the 348 is also the last Ferrari with unassisted steering or gated-manual-only features, both of which changed with the introduction of the F355 model that followed beginning in 1995.

This particular 348 has a relatively well known provenance, originally registered in Florida where it was serviced at F1 Imports and Exotics of Naples before spending several years residing in Annapolis, Maryland, under the care of Rich Capoccia of Competizione Cars in Gaithersburg. This Ferrari 348ts currently resides in the seaside town of Winthrop, Massachusetts and is serviced regularly by renowned Master Ferrari Mechanic, Tony Fernandes, of Autohaus of Boston in Braintree.

All known trouble areas have been addressed in this vehicle over the years. There are no "sticky buttons" or deteriorated surface material and all functions and features work as intended. The owner has upgraded the exhaust to a Nouvalari Stage 2 Supersport Exhaust for a true F1 inspired sound at high rpms, which makes one of the most glorious sounds in the history of classic V8 Ferraris, save perhaps for the F355.
