Actually, this is a 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith with the longer wheel Base. Dark "Velvet" Green with Beige leather interior.
All Original, including: engine, paint, interior, etc.
Originally purchased by the Viscountess of Boyne, for her chauffered drives to and from the House of Lords as well as on her local rounds as MP for the district she represented. This was a personal vehicle so no partition or built-in cabinetry other than the fold-out tray tables and a lot of legroom.
Chauffer Maintained by the Viscountess until 1977.
Purchase by an expatriate aerospace executive upon his return from England in 1977 to the Southern California area. Maintained in the Smith family until transferred out of the widow's trust for sale to me in 2018.
I have maintained and driven it locally and consistently for short trips over that period. The car is extremely quiet and sturdy, but not overly flashy. More stately and elegant with a polished patina.
Good for weddings, anniversaries, or other celebrations where the intent is to have fun and memorable arrivals, a great backdrop for photos, and to make elegant getaways.
