1960 Comet Details
Mercury introduced the Comet in 1960. Mercury executives were afraid the Comet was not up to their ‘Luxury Car’ standards so they demanded the Mercury Badge NOT be on the vehicle. Two years later, over 2 Million Comets were sold and Mercury executives demanded the Mercury badge be on the 1963 model!
