1964 1/2/65 cross over originally built in Numi plant in Fremont, Califronia. Side loader 4 speed, 4 barrel Holley carburetor, complete restoration done many years ago but in excellent shape now. Car was rebuilt by myself and my then 8 year old son who won an award from Mustangs Illustrated for being the youngest person to help fully restore a mustang....featured us in the magazine in 1998. My son is now 29 and this is his car if and when he gets a house with a garage big enough for this additonal car. The two tone Pony seats are leather and he and I spent hours redoing the interior together. Greatest father and son project ever. Car drives wonderfully but it is over 55 years old and experiences all the creaks of any old car.
It has been upgraded with front disk brakes and original suspension components to aid in more modern handling for safety purposes. This car was completely gone thru this past year with literally ever single component checked and upgraded.
As most convertible are, this one is a fair weather vehicle....meaning it has never been driven in the rain and never will...top functions fine but the essence of this car is top down. Please only respond if you plan to understand the importance of what this vehicle means to us but all in all, we want to offer it to people who just love the vehicle and wish to experience the history of the Ford Mustang and all its beauty.
