THIS CAR IS AN ORIGINAL BIG BLOCK MUSCLECAR. It was built for competing with the Pontiac GTO, and was equipped with a 390 2bbl factory motor that was special ordered. it is not a Fairlane GT, but came equipped with all the features of one EXCEPT the 4bbl carburetor. I have owned it 40 years and originally pulled the 2bbl manifold off and installed the 4bbl Manifold. it came ALIVE! After awhile, I installed a 1966 7 liter motor in it and raced it for 10 years. when that motor ended, I located a 1969 428 Cobra Jet motor, rebuilt it and ran it for awhile,then parked the car. It has been garaged for 28 years and I drive it once in a while to keep the fluids and parts lubricated. I had bodywork and paint done in 1992 and repainted it 1992 Ford Explorer/Ranger Factory Brilliant Blue Metallic. I also added a 427 Fairlane fiberglass hood. It does have a few spots of rust at the bottom of the doors that we missed in the bodywork and repaint, but runs like a champ and is a Thrill to drive. It is a different animal and not your common Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle, or Corvette. Hoping that will generate some interest.
