This Chevelle is believed to be a true SS 454 car, though it is undocumented. Unfortunately, the original 454 was removed at some point in the vehicles history, but under the hood now sits a fresh 496 cubic inch Shaffiroff big block Chevy. This is a very stout build sporting a 950cfm carb feeding the monstrous 4.310" bore by 4.250" stroke powerplant. The Eagle crank and rods topped off with a set of JE pistons are fully set up to handle the almost 600 dyno-proven horsepower that this iron lump puts out.
While all that power can be fun, having a car that safely turns and stops is equally as important. Keeping the Chevelles speed in check is a set of Wilwood calipers clamping a set of vented disc brakes on all 4 corners of this beauty. A thorough restoration mechanically and cosmetically was completed in 2009 and many of the upgrades were done at this time, including an electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator, coil over front suspension with Global west lower control arms, and a correct date-coded 12-bolt rear axle assembly. The icing on the cake is the M22 ârock crusher" 4-speed manual transmission giving the driver full control of this blue beauty.
