Beautiful 1977 Jeep Cherokee that spent most of it's life in Texas, and was a very straight, low mileage, and mostly rust free car before the restoration in 2018. Motor was rebuilt with almost everything else replaced under the hood as well. It also received new clutch, front suspension, and a whole new brake system at that time. Was repainted Captain Blue, which is the factory color. Looks good, drives well, and is just an absolute time capsule. Very little modification, with exception of adding a radio, upgrading the brakes, and carburetor.
Engine
258 Inline 6 has been bored .60 over and has a 2 barrel carb with more open exhaust. Also all extraneous vaccum and smog pump related stuff was deleted. Meaning engine is probably making 30-40 HP over stock rating. Makes driving it much more enjoyable on modern roads.
Wheels and tires
Later model Jeep wheels with 31 inch tires
Brakes
Power disc brakes on front and power drums on the rear. All components were either serviced or replaced during restoration in 2018-2019.
