This luxury roadster is available only with the owner as chauffeur. (I am happy to comply with whatever costuming/dress requirements that may exist.)
This 1999 SLK230 hardtop convertible Mercedes roadster (with the sport package) is a really unique car. The R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is the first generation of the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class range of compact luxury roadsters produced from 1996 - 2004. A 5-speed manual, she is one of just 102,754 produced by the German powerhouse car company.
This model made Car and Driver's Ten Best list for 1997 and was named ‘North American Car of the Year’ for 1997. She's super stylish and a great "Lava red."
When I found this sweet girl in 2021, she needed a little bit of TLC. No bodywork, thank goodness, but a leaking hydraulic pump for the hardtop convertible roof mechanism, a new roof liner, some new tires, and a thorough tune-up. I threw in a nice exterior detail just for fun and to make her shine (and I hand wax regularly as well). At just over 20 years of age, she only had about 61,000 miles on her, so "Erica's" still a pretty young lass.
Erica runs like a dream now, the serious little roadster that she is. The hardtop convertible works great and she is super sweet on the inside, with functioning a/c, heat, radio and CD player. The paint on these models does tend to flake over time to reveal the black base underneath, but as you can see, it's not very noticeable.
This roadster takes two different sized tires for the front and rear. The front has older Westlakes, and the rear has newer Michelins.
5-speed manual
Again, this car is only available with the owner as driver-chauffeur. Renters are not permitted to drive her.
