The Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas (in Europe sold as "Daimler") has been the top Jaguar Saloon since the 1990's. Outfitted with a 4 liter V8 and a Mercedes 5 speed automatic transmission, this is the ultimate sports saloon on the market in its day. Accelerating from 0 - 60 in about 6 seconds, this beast combines all the finess of a luxury saloon with the agility of a sports car. There is nothing similar on the market that provides the quiet performance in luxury that this model has to offer. After purchosing this car, I had it paint-detailed bringing back the original shine with only a few minor scratches remaining, which I plan to keep as I want the car in its original golden paint condition.
The brand's iconic jaguar up front and the luxury wooden panelling of the interior are un-equaled by any other fine brand. Of course you can rent it un-chauffeured so you can enjoy this fine car while cruising the east coast landscape or on a fine evening out in DC.
We live bout 60 mi from Dulles Airport and 70 mi from DC in a Dream House on the South Rim of the Potomac River with Bald Eagles and deer resting in our garden, which you can also rent either directly or through VBRO, to complete your luxury experience.
