This is a 1966 SO42 VW Westfalia camper Bus that has been restored, brought back to life and, given a more young and modern life.
The only modifications are:
1. Exterior paint colors are not the original colors.
2. The front and rear brakes were changed from drum to disc, for more effective stopping.
3. Safari Windows were put in to the front and rear windows.
4. The bus was lowered 4”.
5. A Bluetooth radio was installed with four speakers and a subwoofer.
The bus is always kept clean with a full tank of 92% Octane gas, never exposed to the rain and, kept in the garage when not in use.
This bus is a true head turner and also sparks memories from individuals childhoods.
The ‘Birth Certificate’ for this bus was obtained from Germany to ensure its legitimacy, as well as the features it came with from the factory.
although the engine isn’t the original, it is an original VW engine.
4 1/2” tires in the front and 5 1/2” tires in the rear.
Fuchs deep wish rims are used in the front and rear.
The bus has newer Disc Brakes in the front AND rear.
The bus has the original transmission that has been rebuilt to a ‘Freeway Flier’, meaning it can travel at 70mph with no issue.
The vehicle owner is willing to deliver / provide the bus. However, if the arrival location is more than 30 miles away from the starting point, there will be additional costs. The bus can be kept on-site for as many days as agreed but, cannot be left outside / uncovered overnight. (Car Cover is NOT acceptable)
