The truck is a 1934 Ford BB Fire Truck from Mantoloking NJ. The truck chassis was made in Detroit and sent to Hale Pumps of Conshohocken PA to install the body and pump. The truck was delivered to Mantoloking in 1934 where it was put into service. In May of 1937 it responded to the Hindenburg disaster in Lakehurst NJ. The truck was kept in service until 1960. The truck has remained with the Mantoloking Fire Company until this year. The Boro of Mantoloking agreed to sell me the truck ( I have been a active Fire Fighter in Mantoloking for 40 plus years) in 2023. After receiving the truck I fully restored it to new condition.
