This velvet black Lark, with a blaze red interior and a white top, rolled off the assembly line on Friday, May 12th, 1961 in South Bend, Indiana. This rare bird has not been restored - it is an original time capsule into the early 60s with an inline 6-cylinder engine and a 3-speed transmission. Of the 66,622 Studebaker Larks built in 1961, only 1,981 were convertibles.
The Skybolt Six was new for 1961 - an OHV upgrade from the flathead 6.
Factory 15-inch steel wheels
4-wheel drum brakes
3-speed on the column.
