Vehicle story

There are very few Caliente convertibles left and the 1964 was one of the best looking cars Mercury offered. This car has a rebuilt 289 V8 and a rebuilt C 4 automatic transmission. The front suspension has been replaced with the Mustang II style and has rack and pinon steering for better control and safety.
With a new convertible top and new upholstery it is ready to cruise in style and provides a great background for wedding pictures etc.

Engine

Originally it was a 260CID and was rebuilt to 289 specifications

Wheels and tires

Chrome wheels with black baskets and chrome spinners. Tires are recent new radial white walls.

Brakes

Front brakes have been changed to disc brakes with new rear drum brakes. A new power booster was installed along with a new dual master cylinder
