Introduced in 1961 just after the E-Type, the Mark X (ten) formed the basis for the modern Jaguar Saloon. Monocoque body with four horizontal headlamps and a vaned grill. Opulent interior of Connolly leather, Wilton wool carpets and extensive use of English Walnut. Exterior is two tone Opalescent Dark Green over Sherwood Green, interior is biscuit with dark green piping & seat belts. Powered by a 4.2L twin overhead camshaft, inline 6 cylinder XK engine with triple SU HD-8 carburetors producing 265 HP and 283 ft. lbs. of torque with a top speed of 127 mph. Three speed Borg Warner model 8 automatic transmission with limited slip differential. Four wheel Dunlop disc brakes & fully independent rear suspension. Marles Varamatic Bendix variable ratio power steering.Factory installed air conditioning and power windows. Fold down rear seat tray tables with mirror and padded arm rest.
