1966 Pontiac Catalina

The 1966 Catalina 2+2 was available with any Pontiac V-8 you wanted, as long as it was a 421.

This 2+2 is very well sorted mechanically and cosmetically. Old Cars Weekly published an article about this car that tells it's story. A Mercedes collector wanted a Pontiac to show and win awards. He looked through the Pontiac news letters and found this car. It looked like a very clean car so he bought it and with a few minor improvements he won a silver at the POCI convention. He made further improvements based on the judging score and brought it back the following year (2013) and won
a gold award!

EXTERIOR: For a full size car it sure has sleek looking lines! The body is in outstanding condition, it is straight and fits beautifully. There is no rust or damage. Repainted it's original Cameo Ivory and it is polished like glass. The red pinstripe, red emblems and redline tires add some pop. They are radial tires on sharp looking 8 lug wheels. The vinyl top looks like new. The stainless trim is shiny and straight. The bumpers look great but have some tarnishing. The windshield and rear window look like new.

INTERIOR: Not only is it a really clean, unabused interior, it is very sporty and stylish. I love the dash, their is so much sparkling chrome. It has the big factory tachometer hanging there and gauges in the dash. It also has a working clock and an AM/FM radio. The clear plastic steering wheel is in excellent shape. It has a factory console between the bucket seats. Down on the floor there are reproduction mats and seat belts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original 421-338 motor with all stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc. It even has reproduction plug wires. It's very clean and orderly. The washers are hooked up, it has hood insulation and a battery disconnect. The metal surfaces are painted neatly. It runs smooth as can be.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's a giant trunk! Underneath the lid and the jamb are painted smoothly. Inside is solid and it has the correct liner kit. It also has the retractable trunk light that I just love. Complete jack and spare assembly. There is also a set of painted skirts ready to go on if you so desire.

A truly amazing car that will fit in any period correct photo shoot or movie set. Perfect car for a weekend gateway, wedding or date night.
