Well she’s a 56 yr old machine, so she shows a bit of patina here and there, and the top leaks in heavy rainfall ...but just look at her. And when you ride around in this sculpture, look at all the heads turn looking at her. And listen to her. She hums like a sowing machine and rumbles a deep barritone.
She was upgraded from her original 302 V8 to an even more visceral version of the 302 with a 4 barrel carburator. There is no AC yet, ...but that also defeats the main point of a convertible. She’s also been upgraded to more powerful and modern disc brakes at the front.
The Acapulco Blue metallic paint, though flawed, is still stunning and eye catching. And the white top and interior compliment it perfectly. 1970 was considered the last year of the 1st generation Mustang and it’s a good bit more quick and nimble than the earlier convertible Mustangs. This was also considered to be one of the greatest years of Mustang racing history with several Trans Am circuit racing victories. Its styling is distinctly Mustang, but the 1970 was a one year only body style, and stands out as unique amongst vintage Mustangs. She’s dripping with character and ready to be enjoyed. This car is perfect for any special event, wedding, or coming along for a sightseeing ride through historic New Orleans and down the lake front.
