James Bond and The Stig's Aston of choice, a very rare AMV8 in excellent condition.
Car was recently imported to the U.S. after being acquired from the highly reputable Aston Workshop in the UK.
Painted in a very attractive Bentley Midnight Emerald with Black leather interior; it feathers the original manual gearbox and is running on quad IDF Webers.
Prior to acquisition the AMV8 was with one owner since 1993 who commissioned the original restoration (1993/4) including modification to Oscar India style flip tail. A further extensive restoration was undertaken in 2009/2010, including sill replacement and other chassis repairs, as required carried out by Andy Lee R&D. Other works included a rear axle refurbished with fitment of DB7 Vantage LSD, bare metal paint job by Moorland Classics and all new glass fitted. The total cost of restoration was in excess of £50,000.
This example is fitted with 16" Gotti split rims and a new set of the correct Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. The vehicle is also fitted with Vantage road springs, anti-roll bars and Koni telescopic dampers all completed with a professionally performed corner weight balancing and geometry set up making it a fantastic car to drive.
The engine was rebuilt in 1995 by Aston Engineering. The cylinder heads have been subsequently refurbished in 2011, including upgrade to Vantage valves and is running on the original quad Webers. Full stainless-steel exhaust including recent genuine Aston Martin manifolds complete the engine making it very strong and in excellent condition.
