Launched in 1969 the TR6 was the successor to a line of sports cars Triumph had been making since the 1950's. Often described as the last true British sports car, it fit perfectly into a niche British manufacturers had created for compact, two-seaters. The design was evolved by Karmann of Germany from the earlier TR4, product of Italian design-house Michelotti. The cars were charmingly uncomplicated, designed for those willing to trade some of life's creature comforts for a more visceral driving experience.
Our TR6 features a 4 speed manual transmission, inline 6 cylinder, 2.5 liter engine. The car has independent rear suspension and a full array of instruments nestled into the elegant wooden dashboard. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes in front, drum brakes in the rear. The easily raised and lowered tan colored convertible top is the perfect compliment to the British Racing Green body.
