Douglas Breithaupt Vehicle story
The Porsche 924S was only produced in 1987 and 1988. It used many features of the 944 including the 2.5 ltr. engine made by Porsche. With the increase in power and being lighter than the 944, the 924S was slightly faster than its more expensive stable-mate. These are delightful driving cars with excellent balance, a very good power to weight ratio, nimble handling and decent economy. I am the second owner and bought this example from the original owners. It is all original except for a respray necessitated by damage inflicted by a local deer. It has plenty of luggage space and is perfect for weekend getaways.

Doug is great to work with - very accommodating working through some difficult travel logistics. The 924S is super fun to drive - steering response and handling are great. The car gets alotta love. The car was clean and in good working order when Doug handed me the keys. Perhaps not quite as clean or as mechanically dialed in as I like to keep my own cars - but maybe I'm a little crazed on those fronts - and probably why I don't offer my own cars through DriveShare - but I am glad there are people like Doug that do! All in all it was great experience and I would definitely do it again. Thanks again Doug - and Hagerty for offering this service!

The 924S is an absolute beauty and a blast to drive as well, went for a short drive with Douglas before the start of the rental and he was very informative about the car and also about places to go around the area to enjoy the day with the car. He was great to work with and wouldn’t hesitate to rent from again.
