Unveiled in 1999, the Porsche 911 996 generation marked a significant evolution by adopting a water-cooled flat-six engine. This 1999 Carrera Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black and pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.4-liter flat-six engine.
The Carrera is also equipped with the Factory M030 suspension upgrade and a cable actuated throttle that provides that desirable analog feel. It was ordered with the Sport Option Package, front Sport seats, a limited slip differential, traction control, and a hi-fi sound system with DSP. I have added a tasteful full screen PCCM+ clone that offers both the most versatility and maintains that original equipment personality.
The 911 has been sorted for 1 full year restoring the vehicle back to an optimal driving condition and all its “fried egg” glory. The Carrera has a new clutch, Numeric shifter, new IMS, new RMS, new coolant tank, new steering wheel, new Bluetooth stereo with Apple CarPlay, new Porsche rubber floor mats, and 3.4 M96 with only 35,000 miles so you can hear that flat six all day long. The Air con works phenomenally and the front windshield was also replaced in September of 2026. This 911 has a deployable rear spoiler that opens up at 75 mph and drops back down at 40 mph. Everything works perfectly as it should so you can concern yourself with getting the best experience from the 911.
If you’re looking into buying a 996, mine is a prime example of what the platform offers. Take it for a road trip anywhere in California, and you will be astounded on how this car blends comfort and sport all from 4 wheels, a short shifter, and that timeless Stuttgart crest.
3.4l M96 that came out of a 35,000 mile 2003 911.
The engine was thoroughly tested, cleaned, and the following was also replaced before the power plant was installed into my 911:
New AOS
New RMS
Lifetime oilfed LN Engineering IMS
New coils
New plugs
New timing chain
New transmission seals
New motor mounts
New sway bar links
New belts
New vacuum hoses
Factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires
Factory four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers paired with ventilated, cross-drilled steel brake discs manufactured by Brembo for Porsche stamped with the Porsche logo on all 4 calipers
The 911 is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission designated as the Getrag G96 (specifically the G96.00 for rear-wheel-drive Carrera models) The spec on this 911 has both the desirable cable actuated throttle for that visceral feel, and the coveted limited slip differential that makes it much easier for both rear wheels to spin together under power compared to a standard open differential.
We can coordinate pickup at any time. I have secured parking on the side of our home if you’d like to leave your vehicle behind locked gates. I also have plenty of parking on my street as well.
