I can remember being around 4 years old, it's May of 1978 and my was face glued to a small 13 inch black and white TV with a grainy picture of racing cars going around in circles - it was the Indianapolis 500 and I was immediately hooked and addicted to cars ever since.
In 1998, I ordered my first BMW M3 (Fern Green with Magma Leather), a super rare combination. My wife tells me that I should have never sold it. I agree...I sold it and bought a GTS3 class M3 race car, only to find out that the gentleman that I sold my M3 to turned it into a race car and balled it up at the track. I did end up locating it, still a race car...
Boy do I miss that car...a lot.
I began going to the race track in 2001, became an instructor with BMW CCA, as well as a number of other clubs. I'm a member at Club Motorsport as well, I really enjoy track days with my son Nicolas.
We are fortunate to have a number of toys in our garage, and I've always been one to share them - it probably comes from the tens-of-thousands of miles that I have at the track, driving other peoples cars and vice-versa.
I bought my first Ferrari in November 2024 as a 50th birthday present to me and my wife, and thought to myself, it's just a shame that people have to buy these cars to experience them. So I figured I'd just start sharing them with the world so that they can be enjoyed by other motorsport and car culture enthusiasts, so I went online Sunday morning and found "Drive Share", so I signed up.
That's about it. Just a guy that really likes cars and truly enjoys sharing them with others.
Won't you join us on our journey?
Sincerely,
Richard
