I've been a car enthusiast since I was very young. My passion is off road and overlanding. My vehicles of choice are Land Cruisers/LX570's, and of course the mighty G-wagon. This is my first modern G. My others have been from the 80's and 90's. They haven't change with with the exception of some modern technology and a larger V-8. This G550 has the AMG exhaust so it really lets out an incredible bellowing exhaust note. This vehicle is not for a quiet Sunday drive. It is a blast to drive as it is completely raw to the core. This G will draw attention for better/worse. If you are here I'm sure you appreciate the G-wagon. It is a tank that just demands your throttle input and love of Mercedes Benz off road prowess. Of course that is rarely relevant for those driving their G's in the city. They are great for going over curbs and creative parking if need be. Just watch out for clearence as some parking garages could be an issue. It is rather tall. I will get a measurement shortly so that we can preserve the roof.
