This 1966 Mustang Convertible has been owned throughout the years by three military members, the most current, myself, a retired U.S. Air Force photojournalist. It had a frame-off, rotisserie restoration about 15 years ago, but was put in storage for 10 of those years, while the owner was oversees. When I purchased the car from a retired Army sergeant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, I was stunned by its quality. It had been babied for decades by the prior owner. But as all car guys know, there’s always room for improvement. The car looked immaculate, but needed a little work to bring it up to modern reliability, safety and comfort standards, which included rebuilding the 289 cu in engine, rebuilding the transmission, adding disk brakes, adding power steering, lowering the suspension, adding fuel injection, and replacing a dated cooling system. The interior needed a little work also, so all window and door seals were replace, along with a new carpet. Needless to say, the car is now top shelf. It turns heads everywhere it rumbles through and would be a great vehicle for photo shoots, marketing events, and TV/movie production (we no longer do weddings). The bright red paint and perfect chrome puts a spotlight on this classic. If you’re looking for a car that will elevate your event, please contact me. NOTE: Car was repainted in April 2025 and is even more stunning!
