This car was about the hunt for a great example of the ‘88 SL. This car spent its life as a kept lady in Palm Springs or Palm Desert for 33 years. It was sold to a dentist in Florida in ‘22. He has a few of these cars and never titled it or really drove it. From ‘22 to my wife n I spending a few days in Miami last month and securing this cars title it clicked just over 95,670 miles and only 400 since it was sold to the dentist.
We had to fly to FL from CA locate the car at a consignment dealership then track down the dentist owner at his office to make this deal happen.
We have been looking for an SL for a while and this car was the best sub 100k mile car with an amazing history that was fully documented. So documented that we found a recipt from 2007 from the lady owner for her nails and facial at La Quinta Spa in PalmSprings for 135$ in ‘07!
