When new, Porsche 356 Speedsters cost less than $3000. These days, it's a different story. They have become incredibly valuable, easily fetching over a quarter-million dollars.

This particular Porsche 356 Speedster was hand-built by JPS Motorsports in California. Every detail looks identical to an authentic 1957 Speedster, but under the skin, it definitely breaks with tradition. That's because it's powered by a modern water-cooled boxer engine. And while the original 1950’s car only made 70 horsepower or so, this one makes a full 200. In addition, it boasts modern safety features such as disk brakes, modern suspension, seat belts, and even air conditioning. All the fun of a rare classic in the form of a safe and pleasing driver.

Make no mistake, the Speedster is a true gentleman’s racer. The sleek shape and the sophisticated deep black exterior, complemented by elegant whiskey tan leather make for a truly timeless design. Furthermore, the cockpit offers comfortable racing-style seats and a thin-rimmed, nostalgic steering wheel - begging you to wrap your hands around it while you navigate from one corner to the next.
