1976 Land Rover Series III, 88’ wheelbase, right hand drive 4 speed manual transmission. Original 2.25 petrol engine, updated with electronic fuel injection, electric intank fuel pump, electronic distributor, new battery, alternator and starter motor. Updates all made for reliability, especially with only occasional driving.

The vehicle reportedly was imported by the previous owner years ago from Namibia, where it spent time as a safari vehicle.

Drives well, brakes well, 4 wheel drive engages easily when needed (though seldomly needed). A light clutch pedal (on the left of the brake pedal) makes gear changes easy. 4 speed manual transmission with reverse and 1st gear a bit tricky to locate.

Used for cruising the 27 mile stretch of Gulf Coast beach. Driver and passenger seats have 3-point inertia seatbelts installed, so it can be driven on the main road. Maximum speed is 50mph, but highway driving is strongly discouraged beyond short trips for gas fill ups, or up to the local store.

Must have experience driving manual transmissions. Best to have experience with older vehicles. If you can drive a tractor, you can drive this.
