My first Volkswagen was a 1984 Jetta TDI with a 5 speed manual transmission. My first air-cooled Volkswagen was a 1970 Beetle I bought from a used car lot off Buffalo Speedway in Houston in the late 80’s. It was my daily driver for some years and the car I drove when I met my wife. It was our honeymoon getaway car but it broke down before we could get out of town!

On and off over the years, a few of the VWs I have owned are a 1962 Double Cab Pickup, 1964 21 Window Deluxe Bus, 1967 Westfalia Camper and a 1959 Ragtop Beetle.

Some friends and I lease a shop space in North Austin with all the tools needed to work on cars and stuff. We have extra space available for day use and/or storage too.

The Bus and Beetle are great for day trips around Austin, weekends in the Hill Country, weddings, birthdays, and "time travel". Almost everyone has some kind of history with an air-cooled VW.
