1960 Volkswagon 23 Window Deluxe

This is a 1960 VW 23 Window Deluxe bus. After a major restoration from front to back, inside and out. The bus has been restored to nearly 100% of its original design. The only true modifications are:

1. Exterior paint colors are not the original colors.
2. The front brakes were changed from drum to disc, for more effective stopping.
3. Safari Windows were put in to the front and rear windows.

The bus is always kept clean with a full tank of 92 Octane gas, never exposed to the rain and, kept in the garage when not in use.

While the 23 Window busses are out there and, many people are converting standard VW busses to 23 Window busses, my 1960 23 Window is a rare year and has distinct characteristics that are only present on early busses.

The ‘Birth Certificate’ for this bus was obtained from Germany to ensure its legitimacy, as well as the features it came with from the factory.
